I read an article recently that was incredibly eye-opening in regards to how so many real estate agents are calling themselves a “short sale expert” or short sale certified. What nonsense.

While there are many Realtors out there who are indeed well versed in their short sale knowledge, the bulk of real estate agents have not the knowledge or experience to be self-imposing the designation of short sale expert upon themselves.

I for one think that if you are going to be an expert in something that you should have a demonstrable level of success in that what you are saying you are an expert in. I have cooked myself some meals in my time but I am hardly an expert cook. And trust me, I have spent more than a week in a kitchen.

The short sale expert needs to be vetted out.
